Dear Friend,
Well, we are going to improve our presence in Cyprus and in the whole Eastern Mediterranean area. At first I think you may apply as Individual Member, in order to get involved with our activities. About the local politics, I believe the party which may be closer to our ideas and programs is the "United Democrats" (Ενωμενοι Δημοκρατες). You should see if they have either a youth organization or a youth departement. Once there was the Democratic Party (Δημοκρατικο Κομμα), but it opted for the Socialists & Democrats Group. So, it isn't involved with ELDR/ALDE and then with Lymec any longer. For more information I think you may ask Igor Caldeira, representative for the Individual Members, or Mireia Huerta i Sala, the Lymec bureau responsible for the Mediterranean area |
